Sharing the beauty of the Mediterannean
I live in Savinjska valley, the center of our tiny and beautiful country Slovenia, situated in Central Europe. Being surrounded by both mountains, coast and the Mediterranean, most of my paintings are inspired by countryside landscapes, villages, coastal towns and the sea. I have always felt a strong connection to the water and adored the coast – beaches, turquoise waters, the beautiful architecture, flowers, smell of the sea, artists playing live music,..

I have been painting throughout all stages of my life – as a toddler with my mom, as a bullied child finding peace within the beautiful world of colors, a college student managing the stress through expressing myself, through breakups, loves, alongside jobs, pregnancy, maternity, even through a divorce and a burnout I have gotten into while building a whole house on my own!
Art is who I am.
Painting on location
I mostly paint in my studio, but I also love painting on the location itself! This kind of painting is called plein-air painting. It is challenging in many ways, most of all because the weather and lighting is constantly changing, especially on partly cloudy days or in the hour before and after sunset and sunrise. In the summer European coastal towns also tend to have high temperatures and strong wind, increasing the drying time of water and paints significantly. Not to mention the easel and paper constantly trying to fly off in the wind!
But even with these and many other difficulties, or maybe precisely because of them, I find it incredibly satisfying to paint on location.

Motherhood and art
Motherhood has changed me more than I could have imagined, and in a good way! Through all these new challenges I have grown so much, in all areas of life. I now appreciate myself more and am much more self-confidant, knowing I created this little human and went through an 80 hour labor for him! I find it fascinating that my pregnancy and maternity have been the time I have painted more than ever before, with my creativity still being at peak, a year postpartum!
There are theories motherhood and creativity are connected, and that new mothers often awaken with newly found artistic interests, the reason being sacral chakra is connected to creativity, energy, passion, birth. I can certainly confirm I felt this very strongly. Even though I have been painting for 15 years, the pregnancy and the whole year after birth was the time I feel the most inspired and connected to my art!

Healing through art & spirituality
I’ve always painted even in the darkest of times in my live. I’m generally a very happy person but as everyone, I have also went through hardships. A period of depression, social anxiety, panic attacks, breakups, divorce, but the hardest by far was a last stage burnout that I experienced last year.
Art has always helped me relax, be more present and heal. During the burnout it was not enough though, I was physically unable to stand and paint.
In this time I turned to my equally important love – books.
I have always just absolutely loved & enjoyed reading books as much as I enjoy creating, and throughout the years I have made sure to include reading in almost everyday of my life. During the burnout I was reading most of the day for 3-4 months, specifically books on energy healing, EFT tapping, chakra work, reiki etc and I realised how connected energy & passion for life is with creativity.
It is no wonder then that art has always helped me heal so much. I am incredibly thankful for my burnout, as horrible & scary as it has been, I would not have learn and grown so much without it. The energy healing methods and meditations I have been practicing during the burnout and now past-recovery have led me to a tremendously more full-filling life and an abundance of health, love and happiness!

Art livens up the space
I love decorating and designing my new home and it’s just amazing to me how much difference art makes. My art goes especially well with warm tones, wooden furniture and plants.
I love creating a harmonious atmosphere in a room and a combination of a beautifully framed painting + some plants never fails me.
Let me know if you need help deciding on artworks to liven up your home, I can help you using my advice and a software I am using to visualise more complex compositions with actual sizes.

Finest quality art prints
Last year I have started producing my own fine art print recreations of my original artworks. I have often been asked about a painting that has already been sold, and could not offer a print because the quality of options I tried were not up to my standards.
I decided to invest in my own professional fine art printer and a photo camera. I spent three months researching and testing printers, color profiles, photographing and the many different heavy fine art papers. The paper I have decided on is Hahnemuhle’s wonderfully textures 310gsm German Etching, and I love it! Customers tell me again and again they are impressed by the quality of the print and the look and feel on the textured natural paper.
I photograph, edit, print and ship all my prints by myself, to ensure each one is up to my standards. Each one comes with the certificate of authenticity and a stamp of my logo.
